Class description
Muay Thai the way fighters train it — two classes a day, six days a week, for one full month at R1 Muay Thai Phuket in Bangtao.
This 1-month pass gives you 2 Muay Thai group classes per day at R1 Muay Thai Phuket — the morning class from 8:00–9:30 AM and the afternoon class from 4:30–6:00 PM, each running 90 minutes. The schedule repeats Monday to Saturday throughout the month, with Sunday as the gym's rest day — up to 3 hours of training a day on the same rhythm Thai fighters build their careers on. The pass is valid for 1 month from your start date.
This is the full-immersion option. Morning sessions to build — technique, drilling, pad rounds while you're fresh — and afternoon sessions to sharpen, taking what the coaches corrected at 8 AM and making it stick by 6 PM. R1 Muay Thai Phuket runs on the coaching standard of Rama1 Muay Thai, one of Melbourne's most respected gyms, and with the team seeing you twice a day, every day, nothing slips through: your guard, your balance, your clinch entries all get worked on relentlessly. Train this program with purpose and by week three you're not just fitter — you're moving like someone who trains in Thailand.
Recovery becomes part of the job on a double-session schedule, and Bangtao is built for it. Bangtao Beach, about 10 km from the gym, is one of Phuket's longest white-sand stretches — quiet, flat and perfect for easy walks that keep the legs loose between training days. Surin Beach, around 12 km away, offers crystal-clear turquoise swims under casuarina trees when the body needs cold water. And on your Sunday off, Phuket Old Town — roughly 19 km out — trades pad work for café-hopping among the Sino-Portuguese shophouses on Thalang and Dibuk Roads.

FAQ
- How much training is this in total?
Up to 2 classes a day, 6 days a week, for a month — that's as many as 12 sessions and 18 hours of training per week. It's the same daily structure Thai fight camps run, adapted for group classes.
- Is twice a day realistic if I'm not a fighter?
Yes, if you come in with reasonable fitness and manage your intensity. Coaches adapt every class to your level, and many students treat mornings as their hard session and afternoons as technical work. Eat well, sleep well, and respect the Sunday rest day — the schedule is demanding, but it's built to be survivable.
- What's the advantage over the 1-class-per-day monthly pass?
Volume and rhythm. Training twice daily means what gets corrected in the morning gets reinforced the same afternoon, so technique sticks faster. If your month in Phuket is primarily about Muay Thai, this is the program that makes the most of it.
- Do I have to attend both classes every day?
No — the pass covers both daily classes, but you control your volume. Some students drop to one class on heavy-fatigue days and return to doubles when recovered. Unused sessions simply don't carry over.
